Story of the Work
The flora of Guadeloupe is fascinating in its variety and beauty. A few days ago, while refreshing myself in a small natural pool in one of the rivers, I looked at the forest around me as usual. How the sun’s rays fall through the foliage of the trees, how the orchids live on the branches in symbiosis with their surrounding, how the lianas wind around the tree trunks and then hang down from above.
I took with me three different leaves and studied each one for a long time. I was fascinated by their structure, their composition, the simultaneity of symmetry and asymmetry in nature.
Inspired by this, I had the idea of designing these two wallpapers.
