Cycle

We live in troubled and difficult times. Globalization, climate change, Covid pandemic, dismantling of democracy, international crises, changing values, and loss of humanity are just some of the issues that challenge us as a society and can overwhelm and sometimes paralyze us.

With this cycle I want to turn the focus inwards again, on ourselves, I want to encourage. Because “It’s All in You.”

I decided on the colors blue, yellow, turquoise and red and then dealt with the properties with which we associate them.

Artistic Approach

These works are dominated by the respective color of the topic. I reduced the elaborated symbolism of the inherent properties to the color white and the use of copper and gold in order to give them a strong expressiveness and a glow.

The respective elements speak to each another, are connected by fine lines and flow into the four centimeter edge of the canvas.

Story of the Work "Truth and Trust"

The sun not only radiates warmth and is vital for me. It creates light and, figuratively, also truth. Truth feels warm and round and promotes an environment from which new things can arise. Things that lasts. Creative solutions, dialogues and cooperation at eye level, relaxation and a return to humanity and mutual respect.

As an individual, I can decide to turn to the other, to trust initially, to open up and to connect. Provided that I stay myself, authentic, and in my truth, I create trust – not only in myself, but also in the relationship with the other.

Story of the Work "Joy and Unfolding"

Joy is positive energy that invigorates my mind, makes me feel cheerful, and act spontaneously. Joy lets me ride the wave, feel the power of the water and absorb it into myself. I slide up with it, sparkle with energy and feel free. It is unimportant whether I ride a real wave or put myself into this state of mind through the power of the image.

Like an amoeba, I unfold myself, tread new paths, put one “foot” in front of the other. In my core, I remain, but in connection with my development I change the external form and creatively adapt to new surroundings and conditions. I put out my “feelers”, am curious, let myself be inspired by others, exchange experiences and ideas, give and take, transform.
